TRAINING – SECURITY DRIVER
OVER 5 DAYS OR 40 HOURS TO BE ADAPTED ACCORDING TO THIS DESCRIPTION
DESCRIPTION :
- Know the threats (criminology, terrorism, armament, ammunition…);
- Consider and interpret the initial data of the mission: The Information sheet VIP, the mission schedule ;
- Develop the collective and individual loading plan of material means necessary for the mission;
- Know and apply the checklist of measures to be taken for travel in a security convoy;
- Master the basic cartography, know how to orientate oneself, know how to extract or program a GPS coordinate to reach a point (procedures for location and retrieval);
- Master the application of safety itineraries and objective files;
- Demonstrate expertise in the means of communication (radios, cell phones, communication applications) within of device and be able to transmit an immediate report of the situation in the emergency;
- Control: “professional” steering wheel handling, operational driving position as well as individual protection instructions in the event of percussion (driver and passengers);
- Control and apply the driving rules for motorcades on public roads (advance, opener S1, carrier or vip, follower S2, safety motorcycle);
- Be able to determine deposit and recovery points on an objective (recognized or improvised);
- Master the security search of vehicle prior to its use (security searchof security for the removal of doubt against IED);
- Know how to use and technically master the equipment specific to the security driving and close protection (personal equipment, bullet vests, search equipment, radios, ballistics applied to a car, vehicle armour, seals, kevlar bullet towel…) ;
- Master the elementary rules of protective devices for pedestrians in order to be able to integrate them in accordance with “pedestrian” protective agents;
Knowledge regarding:
- Emergency braking and emergency braking with avoidance (opening angle and anticipation method), with and without ABS;
- Defensive driving techniques (against percussion, against rear observation) alone or in convoy;
- Extraction or transfer procedures of vehicle in a dangerous situation (road block, crowd, Taking part, vehicle under fire and/or HS vehicle), side screens, front screen, back screen, VIP transfers between vehicles, outage and / or accident management);
- Trajectories: sporty, semi-sporty and ideal;
- The extraction by emergency reversing in reverse in a space restricted;
- Loss of vehicle grip (under turn and over turn suffered), the U and J turn;
- Offensive driving (pushes and percussion).
